Bretzel

European Shorthair · Male · Kitten · 2 months

My story: Bretzel arrived with his brother thanks to a free cat event. My personality: Bretzel is an adorable kitten who knows how to enjoy the good things in life: eating, sleeping, and receiving cuddles! Very affectionate, he loves human company and seeks out contact often. Often found in his humans' laps, he enjoys participating in the family’s life and knows how to make it clear when he deserves a few extra cuddles. Cuddles are clearly one of his favorite activities. A true little furball, he takes meal times very seriously. When he thinks his bowl should be filled, he knows exactly how to make his point and is not afraid to remind everyone that dinnertime is approaching. Bretzel is also a big fan of naps. His favorite spots? A fluffy blanket in the sun or the cat hammock, where he can relax for long hours in peace and quiet. He is clean and uses his litter box correctly. Likes / Dislikes:• OK with other cats• Dogs: not tested• OK with children For now, Bretzel doesn’t seem particularly drawn to the outdoors and appears to mainly appreciate the comfort and safety of indoor life.

About Bretzel

What life with Bretzel looks like

Bretzel is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at APAA Trégrom in France.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bretzel, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bretzel?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. APAA Trégrom handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bretzel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bretzel if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — APAA Trégrom will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bretzel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bretzel isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with APAA Trégrom early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bretzel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
