Brian and Walter

Mixed Breed · Male

Brian just gives off good vibes instantly - he is a really laid back gentle soul. He was quickest to warm up to his fosterer and come out of his shell - after a few days he started accepting strokes and he’ll now come up for chin pets. He’ll allow a little pick up and cuddle. Not a lap cat, but there’s potential there as he grows more confident. Walter was very nervous when he arrived and it took about a month before he was happy to be touched or stroked. He’s still a bit more reserved than his brother, but has made huge progress and has really come out of his shell in the last few weeks. He’s now not just tolerating but enjoying being stroked, which is lovely to see. They’re both very playful - love chasing a wand toy especially if you make them really run and jump about. They are occupying a bedroom at their fosterers house and are very keen to escape this and have more space to explore! They’d probably enjoy being able to go outdoors safely. They’re likely to be a little scared at first but we’re sure they will warm up in no time with some play and treats, and will continue to make progress, which will be a lovely thing for adopters to be a part of. About Brian and Walter

What life with Brian and Walter looks like

Brian and Walter is an extra-large adult mixed breed cat waiting at Feline Friends London in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Brian and Walter, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Brian and Walter?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Feline Friends London handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Brian and Walter on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Brian and Walter if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Feline Friends London will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Brian and Walter already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Brian and Walter isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Feline Friends London early rather than rehoming privately; they know Brian and Walter and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
