Brie

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 4 months

Meet Brie.! (aka Breezy… because it ain’t easy being Breezy!) 🧀✨ Brie is a gorgeous 15-week-old kitten who’s fully vaccinated, spayed, parasite-treated and officially ready to interview potential humans. Brie is a tiny diva with a big personality. She’s independent, sassy and firmly believes affection should happen on her schedule. Some days she’ll grace you with head rubs and purrs. Other days she’ll give you a look that says, “Respectfully… no.” She’s all about healthy boundaries. Like many kittens, Brie can be a little nervous in new situations and will need time to settle into her new home. Once she feels safe, her cheeky personality starts to shine. Patience is key with this girl but she’s worth the wait. She has one weakness and it’s a licky treat. Shake one of those and suddenly you’re the most interesting person in the room. We all have our price and Brie’s comes in a tube. Her favourite company, though? Other cats. Little Breezy absolutely adores the adult cats in her foster home and would love a confident feline friend to show her the ropes (with slow, proper introductions, of course). She spends her days chasing toys (and her cat pals) and generally causing the kind of harmless chaos only a kitten can. Brie isn’t looking to be someone’s clingy shadow. She’s looking for a home that appreciates her independent spirit, gives her the time she needs to settle in and understands that the best relationships are built on trust… and an unlimited supply of licky treats. If you’re after a hilarious little character with sass, sweetness and just the right amount of attitude, Brie might just be your perfect match. ❤️ Cat Adoption Application DAFM No KPT 200001C

About Brie

What life with Brie looks like

Brie is a very small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Laois SPCA in Portlaoise, Co. Laois.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇮🇪Adopting from Ireland

Irish shelters require a home check (often phone or video) and an adoption contract. Animals are vaccinated, chipped, and registered. Cross-border placements to mainland Europe require the rabies titer test (TRACES system).

Frequently asked

Adopting Brie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Brie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Laois SPCA handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Brie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Brie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Laois SPCA will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Brie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Brie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Laois SPCA early rather than rehoming privately; they know Brie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
