Brioche (& Bagel)

Mixed Breed Cat · Female · Young · 2 years

Hello, I'm Brioche, and this is my little one, Bagel. We came into the rescue together and have been spending some time in a lovely foster home, learning that people can be kind and cosy sofas are the best invention ever. Our foster family says we're now ready to find a place to call our own. We're a pretty special pair, if we do say so ourselves. We love snuggling up together for naps, keeping each other company, and then heading off on little adventures to explore every corner of the house. Once we've had a good look around, you'll probably find us curled up together again, preferably somewhere warm... or even better, on your lap!We can be a little shy when we first meet new people, but give us a little patience and a few gentle head scratches and we'll soon show you just how sweet and affectionate we are. We really do love a cuddle once we know we can trust you.Because we're so close, we're looking for a home where we can stay together forever. We'd be happiest as the only cats in the home, and we'd prefer not to share with dogs. A quieter home with older children who understand that sometimes we need a little space would suit us perfectly. If you're looking for two gorgeous companions to fill your home with love, gentle purrs, and double the cuddles, we think we might just be the pair for you! About Brioche (& Bagel)

What life with Brioche (& Bagel) looks like

Brioche (& Bagel) is a young adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at National Animal Welfare Trust in Watford.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Brioche (& Bagel), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Brioche (& Bagel)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. National Animal Welfare Trust handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Brioche (& Bagel) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Brioche (& Bagel) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — National Animal Welfare Trust will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Brioche (& Bagel) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Brioche (& Bagel) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with National Animal Welfare Trust early rather than rehoming privately; they know Brioche (& Bagel) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
