Brisa

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 4 months

How to adopt a dog? Brisa was born after her mother, Gaia, was rescued in some orchards of Burriana. Gaia, barely a year old, had fled from the family that had her to protect her babies and find a safe place to care for them. Thanks to several people who decided to help her, Brisa and her siblings were able to survive away from danger. Of all the litter, Brisa is the sweetest and calmest. She is always the first to approach when someone bends down to greet her, seeking affection with that special mix of curiosity and tenderness. She has a sensitive and very affectionate personality, and she enjoys human contact a lot. She is a puppy (female) mix of Mastiff, so she will grow quite a bit and will need a committed, patient, and aware family of the needs of this type of dog. In return, Brisa promises to become a noble and loyal companion for life. Brisa seeks a family where she can grow surrounded by love, safety, and affection.

About Brisa

What life with Brisa looks like

Brisa is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Huellas Callejeras in Spain.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Brisa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Brisa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Huellas Callejeras handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Brisa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Brisa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Huellas Callejeras will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Brisa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Brisa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Huellas Callejeras early rather than rehoming privately; they know Brisa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
