Adopt Briza

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 4 years

Briza arrived at the Noé Animal Shelter with the help of the Füzesabonyi Animal Welfare Foundation from a Mezőszemere segregated facility under poor conditions. Three dogs were together, Tobzoska a skin disease dog, Padavan a teething puppy and Briza, who is likely their mother, who is also probably born around 2022. All three entered in a terrible physical and emotional state, full of fear. We immediately started to gain their trust so that physical contact would be acceptable for them, as this was one of our biggest challenges. Now we can say that Briza has started to come out bravely from her place, and even follows her caretaker, seeks and cuddles up to her. We think it's now time to try to find a family for her. From the future owner, we ask only to give her enough time to adapt and it's advisable to visit us several times for meetings. Briza is microchipped, vaccinated and neutered and is available for adoption.

Szerintünk most már megpróbálhatunk családot keresini számára. About Briza

What life with Briza looks like

Briza is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Requires patient adoption process with multiple visits due to traumatic background

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Briza, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Briza?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Briza on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Briza if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Briza already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Briza isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Briza and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
