Adopt Broly

Male · Young · 1 year

Broly is a wonderful Belgian Malinois male dog, 1 year old. He came to us at the age of 6 months through distance, the son of the house had bought a dog without asking the parents. Broly ended up unfortunately tied up in the garden. Broly is a super loving, enthusiastic and playful Belgian Malinois. He is fine being alone for an entire day. He was housebroken. He used to chew things, but here he only chews his stuffed toys occasionally. Broly is not car sick. On walks he still pulls on the leash, he reacts to other dogs but otherwise Broly is a great walking companion. Broly has had little training so far, which can sometimes show as puppy nips, which is obviously not nice with a large Belgian Malinois but absolutely not with bad intentions! We are therefore looking for owners who have experience with Belgian Malinois and want to work with our lovely pet together. Furthermore, Broly is a curious young dog who learns a lot and quickly every day. Broly is still a real puppy and has a lot to learn. We are looking for experienced owners who have a lot of knowledge about the breed. We will absolutely not rehome him to live outside. He is looking for people who he can really be part of the family and who he can always live inside! Broly will not be placed with children or other animals. Who can give Broly a good home? Broly was already neutered by us.

About Broly

What life with Broly looks like

Broly is a young adult dog waiting at Dierenasiel Sint-Hubertus in Aalst.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇧🇪Adopting from Belgium

Belgian shelters operate under regional law (Flanders, Wallonia, Brussels each have their own rules). All adoptions include the Eurochip, vaccinations, and a stewardship contract. Several Flemish shelters partner with Dutch and German rescue networks.

Frequently asked

Adopting Broly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Broly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dierenasiel Sint-Hubertus handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Broly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Broly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dierenasiel Sint-Hubertus will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Broly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Broly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dierenasiel Sint-Hubertus early rather than rehoming privately; they know Broly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
