BROWNIE

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten

Brownie, born 06/05/2026, is a lovely little tricolor female kitten who is affectionate, playful, and full of life. She is very close to humans, enjoys cuddles, seeks companionship, and loves sharing long play sessions. Sociable, she also gets along very well with other cats. Her mother appeared on a feeding ground when she was in late gestation. To ensure she could give birth to her kittens safely, our association took her in. Brownie was thus lucky to be born and grow up in a safe place, surrounded by her mother and volunteers. We are looking for a serious, responsible, and present family for Brownie, who will be able to offer her all the attention, interactions, and moments of complicity that a young cat needs to continue to evolve and flourish fully. Adoption contract with adoption fees including identification, vaccination, and sterilization (will be mandatory at the age of 6 months). Visible in Montmorency (95) only by appointment after a telephone interview and questionnaire.

About BROWNIE

What life with BROWNIE looks like

BROWNIE is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at SOS Cat Pattes in France.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting BROWNIE, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BROWNIE?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SOS Cat Pattes handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BROWNIE on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BROWNIE if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SOS Cat Pattes will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BROWNIE already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BROWNIE isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SOS Cat Pattes early rather than rehoming privately; they know BROWNIE and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
