A Brownie was left behind after her owners separated. Both abandoned the farm where they lived and left her to fend for herself. During that time, Brownie became pregnant, had puppies, and all of them contracted mange. It wasn't until the situation became very serious that one of the former owners took them to the shelter. Several weeks of treatment were needed, but both Brownie and her puppies recovered and are now healthy. Brownie is a wonderful dog. She is extremely gentle, affectionate, and loving. She loves human company and comes immediately when called. She has also been an exemplary mother to her puppies: patient, dedicated, and playful. She gets along very well with other dogs and walks well on a leash. She will be surrendered vaccinated, dewormed, spayed, and microchipped.

A Brownie foi deixada para trás depois de os seus tutores se separarem. Ambos abandonaram a quinta onde viviam e deixaram-na entregue à sua sorte. Durante esse período, a Brownie ficou grávida, teve os seus cachorros e acabaram todos por contrair sarna. Só quando a situação já era muito grave é que um dos antigos tutores os levou para o abrigo. Foram necessárias várias semanas de tratamento, mas tanto a Brownie como os seus cachorros recuperaram e estão agora saudáveis. A Brownie é uma cadela maravilhosa. É extremamente meiga, carinhosa e afetuosa. Adora a companhia das pessoas e vem imediatamente quando a chamam. Tem sido também uma mãe exemplar para os seus cachorros: paciente, dedicada e brincalhona. Dá-se muito bem com outros cães e passeia bem à trela. Será entregue vacinada, desparasitada, esterilizada e com microchip.
