𝗕𝗿𝘂𝗰𝗲 – 𝗔𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Bruce is a handsome 5 year-old boy looking for a calm, understanding home where he can truly settle and be himself. We are sharing him on behalf of another rescue, all in the hope of finding him the loving forever home he deserves. Bruce is happiest when life is simple. He enjoys pottering around the field, heading out on relaxed walks, and soaking up fuss and treats when the mood strikes. He’s an affectionate boy who will come to you for attention, and he absolutely loves meeting new people, greeting them with enthusiasm and curiosity. True to his breed, Bruce has an independent streak and can be a little aloof at times, but that just makes those moments when he chooses you even more special. He’s a big, strong lad with a gentle nature, and he already knows some great basics like sit, stay, wait, and giving up his toys. Bruce would thrive best as the only pet in an adult only home, or one with older teenagers (16+). While he has met other dogs and shown friendly interest, he can be a bit strong and full on, so he’ll need owners who can confidently advocate for him on walks and manage his interactions. Experience with the breed is essential to help him continue to flourish. He walks nicely on the lead, enjoys getting out and about, and is happy to be groomed. He is fully housetrained in kennels and has already been neutered. One area where Bruce will need a little extra understanding is vet visits, as he isn’t particularly fond of them. He will be rehomed with a muzzle to help keep him and those around him safe and comfortable during appointments. With the right owners, this can be managed calmly and positively over time. At heart, Bruce is exactly how he describes himself: a quiet, loving, food motivated “gentle giant” He may not always demand attention, but he forms strong bonds and will be a deeply loyal companion to the right person and in the end he’s just a boy who just wants a home to call his own.
