Bruce is a handsome tomcat looking for a new home. Here's what he's like: I was found. Although I'm older, I'm still fit, confident, and a bit mischievous - but I also love cuddling. I enjoy being around people and chatting with them. At the shelter, I'm friendly and sociable. Sometimes I have my playful moments and chase after toys or treats. If I get overwhelmed, I might give a gentle love bite, but then I'll cuddle again. I'm mentally sharp and enjoy puzzle toys. I'd also love to learn clicker training. I'm interested in other cats and would appreciate a friend my age. My companion should be similar in personality. I have diabetes mellitus, so I need insulin injections twice a day - every 12 hours. I do this well because I love eating and focus on my food. I need a blood glucose profile at least once a month. My caregivers will provide detailed advice. My kidney values are slightly elevated, so this needs to be monitored. I'm looking for a home with people who have plenty of time for me. Children should be at least 10 years old. The household shouldn't be too hectic, as I enjoy peace and quiet. A male castrated cat of a similar age would be ideal, but not necessary. I'm only available for adoption in a home setting. Ich bin Bruce … ein toller Kater auf der Suche nach einem neuen „Wirkungskreis“. Das bin ich: Ich wurde gefunden. Obwohl schon älter, bin ich noch fit, selbstbewusst und ein bisschen frech im Kopf – aber kuscheln mag ich auch ganz gern. Am liebsten bin ich in Gesellschaft meiner Menschen und unterhalte mich mit ihnen. Im Tierheim zeige ich mich freundlich und menschenbezogen. Manchmal habe ich meine Spielmomente und jage der Spielangel oder Leckerlis hinterher. Wenn ich überfordert bin, kann ich manchmal einen Liebesbiss geben, aber dann kuschle ich auch wieder weiter. Geistig bin ich noch ganz fit und mag Intelligenzspiele. Über Clickertraining würde ich mich ebenfalls freuen. Ich bin außerdem interessiert an anderen Katzen und würde mich über einen Kumpel in meiner Altersgruppe freuen. Vom Charakter her sollte er ebenfalls wie ich sein. Bei mir wurde Diabetes Mellitus diagnostiziert. Ich brauche zweimal täglich meine Insulinspritze – im 12-Stunden-Abstand. Das mache ich gut, da ich gern fresse und dann auf mein Futter fokussiert bin. Mindestens 1x im Monat muss ein Tagesprofil erstellt werden, um meinen Blutzucker zu messen. Dazu beraten euch meine Tierpfleger:innen natürlich ausführlich. Ich wünsche mir … ein Zuhause mit Menschen, die viel Zeit für mich haben. Kinder sollten nicht jünger als 10 Jahre sein. Der Haushalt sollte nicht zu trubelig sein, da ich ja schon älter bin und Ruhe genieße. Eine männliche kastrierte Partnerkatze passenden Alters wäre ideal, aber nicht zwingend notwendig.
