Bruji

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Hello! I'm Bruji, a small mixed breed dog who is eager to find a family to give all the love I have inside. I've been fortunate enough to be a mom to some adorable puppies, whom I've cared for with all my love. Now it's my turn to have a chance, to find a home where I'm cared for, pampered, and can enjoy a life full of happiness. I'm a sociable dog, I like to be accompanied and share moments with people. I really want to start a new stage, leave the past behind and discover how nice it is to have a family that loves you forever. Because of my small size, I can be that ideal companion who accompanies you on walks, on sofa afternoons, and in all those small moments that make life special. I don't need big luxuries, just a home where I'm respected, loved, and never have to wonder what my future will be. Can you help me find my final family? Share my story so it reaches the right people. Maybe my home is closer than I imagine.

¿Me ayudas a encontrar a mi familia definitiva? Comparte mi historia para que llegue a las personas adecuadas. Quizá mi hogar esté más cerca de lo que imagino.

About Bruji

What life with Bruji looks like

Bruji is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Animales Rioja in Spain.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee. Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bruji, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bruji?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animales Rioja handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bruji on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bruji if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animales Rioja will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Bruji already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bruji isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animales Rioja early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bruji and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
