Bruni

European Shorthair · Female

Oh… hello! Yes, hello! Yes, the basket is talking to you. Or rather, what's in the basket: a cat, young, named Bruni. What did you think, who is talking to you? The basket itself? I don't think so. Why am I talking like this? Well, I'm shy, very shy – but luckily for you, very curious. People are still suspicious to me. Other cats: I know them, I get along with them! I just don't know you well enough, but somehow you're interesting to me – also because you have a home. "Home" is exactly what I'm looking for! If you offer me access to the outdoors, we'll become really close friends!

Äh… huhu! Ja, huhu! Ja, der Korb spricht mit dir. Also vielmehr das, was im Korb ist: Katze, jung, Bruni der Name. Was hast du gedacht, wer mit dir redet? Der Korb selbst? Wohl kaum. Irgen

About Bruni

What life with Bruni looks like

Bruni is a adult european shorthair cat waiting at Meine Katzenstation in Rüdersdorf bei Berlin.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bruni, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bruni?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Meine Katzenstation handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bruni on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bruni if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Meine Katzenstation will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bruni already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bruni isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Meine Katzenstation early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bruni and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
