Brunner und Brunner

Male

The two brothers Brunner and Brunner have not been well treated so far. They have probably been passed around like traveling trophies. We had them neutered the very next day and they have since been vaccinated. The two get along great and that's why they should stay together. So if you're looking for young and lively rabbits, they're the ones to look for. Of course, no cage keeping applies here too!

DE·Show original

About Brunner und Brunner

What life with Brunner und Brunner looks like

Brunner und Brunner is an adult rabbit waiting at Tierheim Herne-Wanne in Herne.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

Paperwork, vet checks and transport rules differ by species and by country. Ask the shelter what is included and what you will need to arrange before you commit.

Frequently asked

Adopting Brunner und Brunner, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Brunner und Brunner?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Herne-Wanne handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Brunner und Brunner on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Brunner und Brunner if I live in another country?: Sometimes. Whether a rabbit can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Tierheim Herne-Wanne what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Brunner und Brunner already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: What a rabbit comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Tierheim Herne-Wanne directly what is included and what Brunner und Brunner still needs.
What happens if Brunner und Brunner isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Herne-Wanne early rather than rehoming privately; they know Brunner und Brunner and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
