adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal!Bruno has found its people! Its story: 29413 Wallstawe. Heartbreaker Bruno has been in his foster home since early December and is searching for his family from here. The 4-month-old Bruno is a real looker with his golden fluff, his sturdy build, and his short little legs. Bruno is very people-oriented and also approaches strangers boldly, being open and trusting to them. Additionally, our little Bruno is a true adventurer and explorer, fearlessly and curiously exploring his surroundings. Bruno is compatible with everyone and everything, very people-oriented and cuddly. So, he has the best prerequisites for a family dog. When Bruno grows up, he will likely be of medium size. We cannot say what breeds might be mixed in with him. He looks a lot like his mother, who is 45 cm shoulder height. But Bruno will probably grow a bit more. It could also be that a herding or/and herdsighthound might be mixed in. But until Bruno grows up, kindergarten and puberty are on the horizon! However, if you invest time, love, and patience in his upbringing, he will certainly grow into a loyal companion. Moreover, puberty, a time when hormones play tricks, boundaries are tested, and dogs have their own minds, is still ahead. Therefore, a lot of patience and strictness are needed in this phase to raise a charming companion – because that is also certain. Puberty will pass, and with the right upbringing, the bond between human and animal will only become stronger. Bruno is microchipped, vaccinated, and dewormed and can also present an EU pet passport. Many thanks to Franzi! You gave Bruno its identity!

Vielen Dank Franzi! Du hast Bruno seine Identität geschenkt!

About Bruno

What life with Bruno looks like

Bruno is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bruno, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bruno?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bruno on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bruno if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bruno already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bruno isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bruno and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
