Adopt Bruno sucht ein ruhiges Zuhause

European Shorthair · Male · Kitten · 13 months

Bruno has been with us at our shelter since May 2026. New situations make me a bit cautious at first, but if you give me some time, you'll see how much love is in me. Maybe I'm not the one who rushes to greet everyone right away. Maybe I observe first. Maybe I watch you from a safe distance and ask softly: Can I trust you? But once I understand that I'm safe, I enjoy cuddles and closeness, and show my gentle side. I'll transform from the quiet observer into a tomcat who just wants to belong. My previous home had to let me and my cat friends go with heavy hearts because we simply became too many. Now, I wish for people who don't expect me to be perfect right away … but who allow me to just be Bruno. I wish for a quiet home in our area, with people who understand that trust takes time. But I promise you, if you bring patience, you'll get something truly special in return :). Maybe I'm looking for you exactly, so feel free to come by to get to know me better. This cat is to be kept indoors only.

About Bruno sucht ein ruhiges Zuhause

What life with Bruno sucht ein ruhiges Zuhause looks like

Bruno sucht ein ruhiges Zuhause is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Tierheim Oldenburg in Oldenburg.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bruno sucht ein ruhiges Zuhause, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bruno sucht ein ruhiges Zuhause?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Oldenburg handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bruno sucht ein ruhiges Zuhause on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bruno sucht ein ruhiges Zuhause if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Oldenburg will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bruno sucht ein ruhiges Zuhause already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bruno sucht ein ruhiges Zuhause isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Oldenburg early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bruno sucht ein ruhiges Zuhause and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
