Adopt BRUTUS

Mixed Breed · Male

Brutus is struggling. Can you help him? Brutus is a boy with the kindest eyes and the saddest story. He’s only been with us a few months, but it’s clear he’s not coping with life in the kennels. The noise, the stress, the lack of space — it’s just too much for him. He lives for his walks (he only gets 3–4 short ones a week), and his heart breaks every time he’s taken back to his kennel. He’s finding it harder to relax around other dogs, and it’s all just getting too overwhelming. Brutus desperately needs a calm, loving home where he can feel safe and be himself again. If you have space in your heart and your home, please consider giving Brutus the chance he’s waiting for. Message us to learn more. Approx weight 24/12/25: 30KGS Brutus has Leishmania which is controlled with an inexpensive tablet daily. Volunteer report 25/04/26 RJ: Brutus is very keen to get out for a walk and enjoyed his time out. He’s a no drama, no fuss type of dog and simply enjoyed spending his time sniffing. I found him easy. We went past and walked alongside 6 dogs and he wasn’t interested.

About BRUTUS

What life with BRUTUS looks like

BRUTUS is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Murcia) in Lips Rescue.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting BRUTUS, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BRUTUS?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Murcia) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BRUTUS on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BRUTUS if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Murcia) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BRUTUS already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BRUTUS isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Murcia) early rather than rehoming privately; they know BRUTUS and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
