Buba

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 1 month

Buba Buba is a medium-sized neutered female dog. A shelter that primarily rescued bull-type dogs, where several animal welfare organizations assisted the authorities, was closed down in March. It is suspected that she arrived from Bulgaria in 2022. We were asked for help in finding a home for this distrustful dog... who we haven't even received a photo of before, because she was so afraid that she wouldn't even leave her doghouse. 😔She was taken to our boarding house in the 17th district, where Bori started taking care of her. We then enrolled her in a 6-week training program at the Gödöllő Dog Sports Center, where she is developing well. You can inquire about our protégés at the phone number 06-30-444-1682 or send us an introductory email at ebremeny.hu.

Majd a Gödöllői Kutyasport Központba fizettük be két 6 hetes képzésre, ahol szépen fejlődik. About Buba

What life with Buba looks like

Buba is a medium-sized puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Ebremény in Hungary.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Buba, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Buba?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ebremény handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Buba on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Buba if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ebremény will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Buba already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Buba isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ebremény early rather than rehoming privately; they know Buba and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
