Bubik – Vermittlungshilfe

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 14 months

The adorable Bublik is looking for a very special, customized dog bed. He is currently in a foster home in Waldershof, where they care for disabled dogs. However, there are dogs with more severe disabilities than Bublik, and this wonderful dog just gets overlooked there. He has a congenital condition called megaesophagus—an enlarged esophagus. He can live a happy, carefree life as long as his needs are properly met. He is approximately 14 months old and is a cheerful, playful, curious, and extremely people-oriented guy. True to his age, he brims with energy, and it’s simply a joy to interact with him. Bublik has already been to the clinic many times—megaesophagus means he has an enlarged esophagus. Unfortunately, there is no surgical option to help him, but he can still be supported effectively. The main goal is to prevent aspiration (inhaling food). Here’s what you need to watch for with Bublik: – Feed him in an upright position – Preferably give smaller meals several times a day – Closely monitor for any signs of aspiration pneumonia (coughing, fever, breathing difficulties, lethargy) – Keep an eye on his weight and any regurgitation His symptoms may even lessen as he gets older. Overall, Bublik is just a completely normal young dog. He gets along with everyone and everything. He rides wonderfully in the car and walks nicely on a leash. He is very obedient. Bublik is searching for his forever home, preferably as an only dog, with a family fully committed to meeting his specific needs. In return, he’ll reward you with affection, zest for life, and all the joy a dog his age can offer. Contact: Iris and Johann Schmidbauer 95679 Waldershof Tel.: Bubik is not at the animal shelter!

About Bubik – Vermittlungshilfe

What life with Bubik – Vermittlungshilfe looks like

Bubik – Vermittlungshilfe is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Wunsiedel in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bubik – Vermittlungshilfe, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bubik – Vermittlungshilfe?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Wunsiedel handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bubik – Vermittlungshilfe on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bubik – Vermittlungshilfe if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Wunsiedel will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bubik – Vermittlungshilfe already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bubik – Vermittlungshilfe isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Wunsiedel early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bubik – Vermittlungshilfe and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
