Buck was born in December 2024 and has been at the animal shelter since April 2025. Buck was seized along with other dogs by the veterinary office. Unfortunately, this meant that he missed out on crucial socialization during his first few weeks of life. Buck barks loudly at strangers, hoping they’ll quickly keep their distance. If that doesn’t work, Buck isn’t afraid to use his teeth. On the other hand, when it comes to people Buck trusts, he’s incredibly affectionate, cuddly, and eager to please. He loves being petted and lets his regular walking companion do pretty much anything to him. With other dogs, Buck gets along well—as long as there’s mutual sympathy. For the future, Buck is looking for experienced dog owners who can provide him with stability and guidance and who practice loving yet consistent training. Children should not live in the household. Buck deserves a second chance!

Leider hat dementsprechend in den ersten Lebenswochen viel zur Prägung gefehlt. Fremde Personen werden von Buck lautstark verbellt, in der Hoffnung, sie nehmen schnell wieder Abstand. Wenn das nicht hilft, setzt Buck auch mal die Zähne ein. Menschen hingegen, denen Buck vertraut, zeigt er sich sehr anhänglich, verschmust und gelehrig. Er liebt es gekrault zu werden und lässt mit seiner Stamm-Gassigeherin alles mit sich machen. Mit Artgenossen ist Buck nach Sympathie gut verträglich. Für die Zukunft sucht er hundeerfahrene Menschen, die ihm Halt und Anleitung geben und bei denen eine liebevolle, konsequente Erziehung gegeben ist. Kinder sollten nicht im Haushalt sein.
