Buli

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 5 years

Buli isn’t “just another dog.” He’s the one dog who can disarm even the worst day with a single glance. He’s about five years old. In February 2026, he came to us from the Ostoja shelter—a shelter that had been his home since November 2025. Months went by... and still he waited. Yet Buli is pure joy in canine form. Right from the start, he showers you with smiles, cuddles up close, and seeks connection. It’s as if he’s saying, “Hi, I’m here. Can I have a scratch?” And once you do—watch how desperately he needs it. On walks, he’s ecstatic. Truly ecstatic. His tail wags like crazy, his nose sniffs every scent, and his eyes just light up with laughter. He finds joy in the simplest things—the grass beneath his paws, movement, the mere presence of someone nearby. The knowledge that he’s not alone. Buli is a dog who loves people with all his heart. He approaches, snuggles close, and looks at you as if he wants to memorize every second of your time together. Because he knows soon he’ll be back in his kennel. And that’s when it all breaks. Because when the walk ends, Buli seems to dim down. More and more often, he climbs into his doghouse and just lies there. He stares—staring at volunteers passing by; staring at people who’ve come... but not for him. And in those eyes, there’s just one question: “Could we stay a little longer? Could I have just one more touch?” Buli is a dog who can’t handle being alone. He doesn’t need luxuries. He doesn’t need the perfect home. What he needs is a human—someone’s presence, closeness, warmth. Because outside the shelter, Buli is truly wonderful: joyful, approachable, and full of heart. He greets you every single day as if you were the most important person in the world—and you could be. Give him a chance. Before that smile disappears for good. Buli is waiting—for his person. I’ll get to know you, maybe even hand you the leash during our walk—just so you’ll feel like you never want to let go. Call me—I’m waiting.

Kolejne miesiące mijają… a on wciąż czeka. A przecież Buli to czysta radość w psiej skórze. I tu wszystko pęka. On potrzebuje człowieka. Obecności. Bliskości. Ciepła. Bo poza schroniskiem Buli jest naprawdę cudowny. Radosny, kontaktowy, serdeczny.

About Buli

What life with Buli looks like

Buli is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Buli, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Buli?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Buli on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Buli if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Buli already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Buli isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku early rather than rehoming privately; they know Buli and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
