Bunny

Mixed Breed Cat · Female · Adult · 5 years

Meet Bunny, a beautiful girl with a big personality and lots of love to give. Estimated to be around 5 years old, Bunny came into our care as a stray, so unfortunately we have no previous history for her.Bunny is a confident and sociable cat who loves human company. She will happily meow to say hello, rub around your legs, and enjoys plenty of fuss and brushing — though always on her own terms! She’s an independent lady who appreciates people that understand and respect her boundaries. While Bunny was known to make friends with neighbouring cats during her time as a stray, she has shown that she does not enjoy sharing her space with other cats in the cattery environment. Because of this, we feel she would be happiest as the only cat in her new home. She would also not be suitable to live with dogs.Bunny could live with sensible children who understand when she wants attention and when she would prefer her own space. This lovely girl has so much character and affection to offer, and she is now looking for a forever home where she can truly settle and thrive. If you think Bunny could be the perfect addition to your family, please submit your interest today! About Bunny

What life with Bunny looks like

Bunny is a large adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at National Animal Welfare Trust in Watford.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bunny, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bunny?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. National Animal Welfare Trust handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bunny on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bunny if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — National Animal Welfare Trust will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bunny already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bunny isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with National Animal Welfare Trust early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bunny and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
