adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal!Bunny has already found its home! His story: Listen up, here comes Bunny! Bunny is a beautiful puppy, distinguished by his exceptionally charming fur pattern. He happily trots through the world, eager to make friends with everyone and would rather play and run all day. Whether human or dog, everyone is welcome. But of course, no nice playmate can replace a loving home. Therefore, we hope very much that Bunny will be discovered by his people and soon be allowed to travel. Of course, we would also be very happy if Bunny could find a temporary foster home. Currently, Bunny is 37 cm in size and weighs 7 kg. With this, he is expected to reach a medium size. Bunny is still small and of course must learn a lot more. We are therefore very happy that he will soon be able to start his 1×1 dog training. We wish Bunny a family that is eager to accompany him on his journey into adulthood. Then, for the little delight, an exciting time will begin: puberty. It is important during this time that dogs are accompanied by structures, routines, and understanding. For when the hormones start playing, the family is irreplaceable. Also, a visit to a positively working dog training class can be a valuable support at this time, so that you can grow into an unbeatable team. Bunny is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated for travel arrangements. He brings an EU pet passport with him and can travel after a positive health check. Is Bunny exactly the dog you wish for? Then contact us! Many thanks to Andrea. Thanks to you, Bunny has a sweet name and the chance at a happy dog life. As of: 13.03.

Vielen Dank an Andrea. Stand: 13.03.2026

About Bunny

What life with Bunny looks like

Bunny is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bunny, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bunny?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bunny on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bunny if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bunny already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bunny isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bunny and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
