Buster bindet sich sehr an seine Bezugsperson und zeigt dann auch seinen Schutzinstinkt, dies muss man zu händeln und zu verhindern wissen. Fremde Personen werden nicht geduldet, da sich sein Schutzinstinkt nicht nur auf Personen, sondern auch auf sein Territorium bezieht . Buster ist mit Artgenossen gut verträglich. Ein Haushalt ohne Kinder, bei einer Einzelperson wäre sicherlich optimal. Buster hält sich am Liebsten draußen auf, benötigt aber dennoch Anschluss an seine Bezugsperson.
