adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! Peace and serenity, beautiful Button! His story: Pup siblings make your everyday life a colorful world of nonsense, joy, and unrestrained love! Who has fun, time, and energy for Button, the magical pupling? Another dog family tragedy has reached us, another litter of puppies for whom no one feels responsible: The puppies Button, Lana, Kasper, and Daisy Mae are dreamy siblings who desperately need people to start a new life with them. For now, they've been lucky, as our animal rescuer Carmen lovingly cares for the clover. In the foster home in Bistrita, they are safe, don't have to go hungry, and can learn that no more harm will come to them. What's still missing is a family that opens its heart to Button and gives him a home – for a lifetime. Button is one of the little pup siblings. With dark button eyes, the white puppy looks into the world, only the small floppy ears frame his black and shiny face. At just about 2.5 months old, he can grow to be medium to large when he's fully grown. What does Button do all day? With his siblings, he runs through the limited world of the foster home, enjoys cuddle sessions and a full belly, and spreads his charm wherever he can. Button and his siblings are mixed breeds of herding dog. Will he become more reserved or a little daredevil when he grows up? You can discover that with him. Those who already have experience with herding dogs know that they can be independent beings who have written the protection of their heart's people and the corresponding property on their banner. While they value good social contact with their people, they don't want to be constantly bossed around. So it's about finding a balance between independent and competent dog handling, while also forming a caring and sensitive relationship with his four-legged friend. With the help of dog schools or dog trainers who know the character of these sensitive dogs and work with positive consequences, you can grow together with Button into a great team during his training. Welping litters from Romanian animal shelters haven't had to learn family rules yet. Housebreaking, leash manners, recall, or household sounds are unknown to them, as they usually live outside and not with people in the house. Additionally, puberty awaits, which can sometimes thoroughly confuse the little puppy's head. For this time, the best help is a solid bond between two and four-legged beings based on trust, which is built with wisdom and understanding during the training to become a family dog. The start of our little Button wasn't ideal, but if there are people who welcome him into a cozy home, everything can turn for the better. Button is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. We say a big thank you to Pia W. for giving Button a beautiful name and thus a valuable identity. Status: 24.10.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Ruhe in Frieden, schöner Button! Was Button den ganzen Tag so macht? Stand: 24.10.2024

About Button

What life with Button looks like

Button is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Button, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Button?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Button on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Button if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Button already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Button isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Button and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
