Buttons & Kilty

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

“Hi! We’re Buttons and Kilty, two super-cute girls who are looking for our perfect forever home together 💕 We’ve been in foster care for a little while now and have become really comfortable in the apartment we’re living in. Our foster mom says we’ve truly made this place our own. We run around, play, goof off, and apparently we’re so cute it’s almost unbearable 😻 And most importantly: we always stick together. We love playing! A fishing rod and toy mouse are fun, but our absolute favorite thing to play with is… hair ties 😂 Simple joys, you know. We’ve also finally discovered that cuddling is really, really nice—especially from people we feel safe with. If you’ve got treats or Sheba cat food, that’s an extra special treat! A little bit about each of us: Buttons: Once I get comfortable with you, I love to cuddle and play. I enjoy hanging out on the balcony and lounging in warm spots. So I’d really appreciate having outdoor access ☺️ It might be wise to watch out for clothes hanging around, because I love to climb! 🤭 Otherwise, I’m an active girl and seek attention when I want to be petted—which happens more and more as I become more confident. I adore cuddling and rolling around in blankets! Kilty: I really appreciate a good vantage point high up, whether it’s on top of the dresser or the sofa. I’m a very curious and cautious girl and love exploring both new and familiar places I’ve been. I like sitting by the window soaking up the sun and I’m thrilled when you pet me once I trust you. Playing with shoelaces is the best thing ever! I’m still pretty shy right now, but I love keeping my foster family company when they’re watching TV or working on things 🥰 We’re looking for a calm home that understands that building trust takes time—but in return, you’ll get two funny, playful, gorgeous kitties whose hearts are already closely connected 🥰 Do you have space in your home—and in your heart—for both of us?” – Best regards, Buttons & Kilty Buttons and Kilty are spayed, ID-tagged with a microchip, vaccinated, and have undergone a full health check-up as well as deworming treatment.

«Hei!

About Buttons & Kilty

What life with Buttons & Kilty looks like

Buttons & Kilty is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Hjerte for Hjemløse Katter in Trollåsen.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇳🇴Adopting from Norway

Norwegian rescues require thorough background checks. Animals leave with a Nordic pet passport and full vetting. Norway is outside the EU so import rules differ slightly — TRACES applies.

Frequently asked

Adopting Buttons & Kilty, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Buttons & Kilty?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hjerte for Hjemløse Katter handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Buttons & Kilty on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Buttons & Kilty if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hjerte for Hjemløse Katter will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Buttons & Kilty already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Buttons & Kilty isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hjerte for Hjemløse Katter early rather than rehoming privately; they know Buttons & Kilty and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NB). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
