Buzz

English Bulldog · Male · Young · 3 years

He would suit a home in a small town or quieter residential area, as busy traffic can make him feel a little worried, and he’d love a family who can take things at his pace when introducing him to new experiences. Buzz could potentially live with an easy-going dog following a successful meet at the centre, and he could live with sensible secondary school aged children who understand when to give him a little space. Buzz finds being left alone difficult so his new family will need to gradually build up any time spent alone and provide plenty of reassurance as he settles in. As we’re unsure whether he has lived in a home environment before, he may also need some patience and support with his toilet training while he finds his feet. Buzz is a 3 year old SBT cross with a wonderfully sweet nature. Once Buzz gets to know you, you’ll discover a loving, affectionate boy who adores a good fuss. He can be a little unsure when meeting lots of new people at once, but with some patience, reassurance and plenty of tasty treats, he soon warms up and shows you his lovely personality. Before long, you’ll have a best friend who is more than happy to curl up beside you on the sofa and enjoy plenty of cuddles. Buzz is also an active boy who would love to have a family to share adventures with, whether that’s exploring the countryside or enjoying a stroll along the beach.

About Buzz

What life with Buzz looks like

Buzz is a small young adult english bulldog dog waiting at Dogs Trust Shoreham in Shoreham by Sea.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Buzz, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Buzz?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Trust Shoreham handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Buzz on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Buzz if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Trust Shoreham will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Buzz already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Buzz isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Trust Shoreham early rather than rehoming privately; they know Buzz and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
