Sarabi

Mixed Breed · Male · Kitten · 4 months

Sarabi is a beautiful 7-month-old kitten with a gentle soul and a quiet nature. She came to us from a colony in East Hull, where she was lovingly fed and cared for by an elderly gentleman. Sadly, it eventually became too much for him to manage, and Sarabi found herself in need of a safe place to land. She is now in our care and ready to begin the next chapter of her life. Sarabi is still very timid and finds new situations overwhelming, so she will need a calm, patient, and understanding home where she can settle at her own pace. With time, kindness, and reassurance, we're confident she will continue to grow in confidence and blossom into a wonderful companion. She would thrive in a quiet household with owners who understand that trust takes time to build and are willing to let her come out of her shell naturally.

About Sarabi

What life with Sarabi looks like

Sarabi is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Jenny in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sarabi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sarabi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Jenny handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sarabi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sarabi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Jenny will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sarabi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sarabi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Jenny early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sarabi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
