Câlin arrived at the shelter along with several other cats following the death of his owner, who had been living in a situation characterized by Diogenes syndrome. Câlin is a cat who has always known only his owner and now finds himself in a completely new environment. Câlin is a rather fearful cat, but he’s entirely without malice. He’ll need plenty of time, patience, and gentleness to build trust and learn to get to know people at his own pace. His past explains his current reserve: having never known anyone other than his owner, he must gradually adapt to a new life and new routines. His compatibility with other animals isn’t fully known yet, but he seems to get along well with other cats, whose presence could help him feel more secure.

Câlin est arrivé au refuge avec plusieurs autres chats suite au décès de son propriétaire, qui vivait dans une situation de syndrome de Diogène. C’est un chat qui a toujours connu uniquement son maître et qui se retrouve aujourd’hui dans un environnement totalement nouveau. Câlin est un chat assez peureux, mais sans aucune méchanceté. Il aura besoin de beaucoup de temps, de patience et de douceur pour prendre confiance et apprendre à découvrir les humains à son rythme. Son passé explique sa grande réserve actuelle : n’ayant jamais connu d’autres personnes que son propriétaire, il doit progressivement s’adapter à une nouvelle vie et à de nouveaux repères. Ses ententes avec les autres animaux ne sont pas totalement connues, mais il semble bien s’entendre avec les autres chats, dont la présence pourrait l’aider à se rassurer.
