Adopt Camael

Belgian Malinois · Male

Past: stray wandering unidentified The +: very kind; sticky; intelligent; very affectionate; Mr. big cuddles 24/7 The -: fearful; nipping; needs channeling Hello everyone, I'm Camael 🧡 I'm a dog who can quickly become very attached to the people who take care of me, I even become a real glue. Very kind, I also use my intelligence to integrate into my environment. On the other hand, I can be a little scared and handle my anxieties poorly, it is necessary in these moments to have the right reflexes to calm and reassure me because in case of difficulty I can nip from stress. My past is a big mystery because I arrived at the shelter after a stray wandering, alone I know what I have seen or experienced. However, what I know is that deep in my heart I love humans who want me well and am a dog truly in search of cuddles and affection in general. I will then need a understanding family, attentive to my emotions, patient and kind so that I can thrive as I deserve. What I would love most in the world is to become your little Camael all for you for life ❤️ The clingy mode The call for help of Camaël and his fellow troublemakers Breed story: height of 56 to 66 cm for a weight of 20 to 30 kg; affectionate; loyal; reactive; versatile; very determined; athletic; highly developed sense of smell; working breed; devoted. The Malinois: a dog capable of doing wonderful things and amazing everyone. But on the other hand, he is also capable of clacking his teeth when he is happy, running everywhere and doing all sorts of things. 😅 Therefore, the owner must be able to appreciate these two sides: his intelligent side and his silly side! About Camael

What life with Camael looks like

Camael is a medium-sized adult belgian malinois dog waiting at SPA de l in France.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Camael, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Camael?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SPA de l handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Camael on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Camael if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SPA de l will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Camael already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Camael isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SPA de l early rather than rehoming privately; they know Camael and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
