adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Camilla has found her home! Her story: Bistrita, Romania. Camilla and her 5 siblings were simply placed in a box on the street in Bistrita and left to their fate. Fortunately, they were found before anything bad could happen and now they live together in a foster home. Currently, she is 3 months old. As an adult, she will grow to be at most medium-sized. Camilla, our white beauty. Who could say no to this sight? The sweet mouse is a true ray of sunshine. She brings with her her cheerful, open, and loving nature, making everyone laugh. Camilla gets along very well with adults and children, as well as other animals and cats. She is always loving and never shows any aggression. She is very open and alert, she loves to explore her surroundings, play, or simply be petted. The little Camilla is such a wonderful female dog with her whole life ahead of her, and we wish very much that she does not spend the cold and dark winter in Romania, but in a wonderful family that gives her the love she deserves. However, her new family should also be aware that Camilla has not yet experienced life in a loving family and still has a lot to learn. She needs to learn the whole puppy ABC and puberty is still ahead of her. Here, she needs people who approach with much love and patience, and possibly also attend positive dog training classes with her and forgive her one or two mishaps. Leash walking, house training, or being left alone are still foreign words to her. During puberty, she will certainly test boundaries and perhaps even forget some things she has learned. But once this phase is overcome, Camilla will definitely become a wonderful lifelong companion. We would also be very happy to have a foster home for the pretty mouse. Many thanks, Fabienne! You named Camilla. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vielen Dank Fabienne! Du hast Camilla ihren Namen geschenkt.

About Camilla

What life with Camilla looks like

Camilla is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Camilla, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Camilla?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Camilla on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Camilla if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Camilla already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Camilla isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Camilla and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
