CAMILLO

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Senior · 12 years

Camillo is a gentle and composed cat, reminiscent of a gentleman from a bygone era. His entry into the shelter was so traumatic that he contracted FIP. We've treated him, and he remains here, waiting for someone to look into his green eyes and fall in love with him. He has a lot of love to give, and at 12 years old, he's a distinguished feline. Adoption is preferred with his brother Roberto, but single adoptions are also considered. A safe home is required! Are you interested in adopting Camillo? CONTACT US - ARCA Onlus If you can't adopt, we ask that you support the cats of ARCA Onlus by making a donation: no matter how much you can donate, your act of love will be crucial in caring for all the kittens we host! About CAMILLO

What life with CAMILLO looks like

CAMILLO is a senior mixed breed cat waiting at ARCA Onlus in Italy.

Senior cats are the gentlest house guests: predictable, mostly silent, and grateful for a sunny windowsill. Older cats often have minor dental or kidney issues — keep an eye on water intake and weight. Many sleep eighteen hours a day and want no part of any drama.

🇮🇹Adopting from Italy

Italian canili require adopters to sign a stewardship contract (affido) and may retain the right to verify the animal's wellbeing post-adoption. Animals are chipped and sterilized before leaving (Legge 281/91). Public canili rifugio typically waive adoption fees.

Frequently asked

Adopting CAMILLO, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about CAMILLO?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ARCA Onlus handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw CAMILLO on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt CAMILLO if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ARCA Onlus will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is CAMILLO already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if CAMILLO isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ARCA Onlus early rather than rehoming privately; they know CAMILLO and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (IT). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
