Camilo came to the animal shelter in March 2026 at around five years old. He is a Podenco who was found on the street and brought to the shelter. He is currently living in a foster home, as it was feared he might suffer greatly in the stressful environment of the shelter. This situation can only be temporary. He is a very calm and gentle dog who gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, people, and children. Anyone who meets him immediately recognizes how kind he is. Right now, Camilo is still a bit shy, as everything is still new to him. Camilo would greatly benefit from a quiet and loving home where he feels safe and can gradually gain confidence. It would be ideal if there were already another sociable dog in his new home who could help him feel more comfortable and adjust. Caring for a rescue dog is always a special challenge. The dogs bring along a backpack of past experiences or situations they have not learned, and they need time to get used to their new life. Camilo kam im März 2026 im Alter von etwa fünf Jahren ins Tierheim. Er ist ein Podenco, der auf der Straße gefunden und ins Tierheim gebracht wurde. Er lebt derzeit in einer Pflegestelle, da man befürchtete, er könnte in der stressigen Umgebung des Tierheims sehr leiden. Diese Situation kann leider nur vorübergehend andauern. Er ist ein sehr ruhiger und sanfter Hund, der sich wunderbar mit anderen Hunden, Katzen, Menschen und Kindern versteht. Jeder, der ihn kennenlernt, erkennt sofort, wie lieb er ist. Im Moment ist Camilo noch etwas schüchtern, da alles noch sehr neu für ihn ist. Camilo würde sehr von einem ruhigen und liebevollen Zuhause profitieren, in dem er sich sicher fühlt und nach und nach Selbstvertrauen gewinnen kann. Ideal wäre es, wenn in seinem neuen Zuhause bereits ein anderer, geselliger Hund leben würde, der ihm helfen könnte, sich wohler zu fühlen und sich einzuleben. Die Verantwortung für einen Tierschutzhund ist immer eine besondere Herausforderung. Die Hunde bringen einen Rucksack mit vergangenen Erlebnissen oder ungelernten Situationen mit und brauchen Zeit sich an ihr neues Leben zu gewöhnen.
