CANAILLE, at the shelter for 755 days My name is CANAILLE, a young dog abandoned at the shelter at the age of 6 months due to incompatibility of life with the proposed housing and the time devoted to the dog. Since then, I have been at the shelter and I am beginning to get depressed... I was placed in a foster family but had to return because the relationship with the other dog in the family was complicated (only defect!). I am a kind dog, playful, affectionate and energetic, with a nervous and sensitive nature. I love human contact which reassures me and going for walks, as I need it to let off steam and relax. Life at the shelter is stressful for me and I would need some time to learn how to relax. I love cuddles, playing, and I need to be reassured to relax. On walks, I am rather calm, and I am a food lover! Due to my youth, sensitivity and energy, I will need to continue my education; I have good foundations and I understand quickly what is expected of me, I am very intelligent 🙂 Living with young children is not recommended because I can still be abrupt when I am happy; however, I can also remain calm especially during the moments of petting. I can get along with other animals of the same species, but the shelter makes me less social; a little socialization work would be necessary with the help of a trainer. However, contact with small dogs and cats (and other small animals) should be avoided because I see them as toys! Therefore, my adopters will need to be patient and gentle to get to know me, guide me and educate me. Give me a chance, because I am very nice and I have a great need for love and attention. I am waiting for you! In order to create a first bond of trust, several visits/walks will be necessary at the shelter before taking me home.

Canaille, au refuge depuis 782 jours Je m’appelle Canaille, jeune chien abandonné au refuge à l’âge de 6 mois pour incompatibilité de vie avec le logement proposé et le temps consacré au chien. Depuis, je suis au refuge et je commence à déprimer…J’étais parti en famille d’accueil mais j’ai du revenir car l’entente avec l’autre chien de la famille était compliquée (seul défaut!). Je suis un très gentil chien, joueur, affectueux, dynamique et sensible, sachant rester calme pendant les pauses câlins que j’apprécie particulièrement. J’adore en effet le contact humain qui me rassure, mais bien sûr aussi partir en balade pendant lesquelles je suis plutôt calme, j’en ai besoin pour me défouler et me détendre. J’ai déjà de très bonnes bases d’éducation et je comprends vite ce que l’on attend de moi, je suis très intelligent 🙂 ; il faudra la parfaire du fait de mon jeune âge, notemment pour m’apprendre à gérer mon excitation quand je suis content. La vie avec de jeunes enfants est déconseillée car du coup je peux encore me montrer parfois un peu brusque. Je peux m’entendre avec mes congénères, mais le refuge me rend moins sociable; un petit travail de resocialisation serait peut être nécessaire. Par contre, il faut éviter le contact avec les chiens de petite taille et les chats (et autres petits animaux) car je les chasse et les prends pour des jouets ! Mes adoptants devront donc faire preuve de patience, de douceur et de bienveillance pour apprendre à me connaître et me canaliser. Donnez-moi une chance, car je suis très sympa et j’ai un grand besoin d’amour et d’attention. Je vous attends ! Afin de créer un 1er lien de confiance, plusieurs visites/balades seront nécessaires au refuge avant de m’emmener à la maison.
