Domenico

European Shorthair · Male · Senior · 12 years

He comes from a family where his human companion passed away, and together with other cats, he was taken in at our shelter. This big change required a long period of adjustment for him—first undergoing a necessary quarantine—and gradually, he began to integrate into the larger group. If your eyes meet his, you’ll still notice that he feels somewhat uncomfortable, so he needs his space and his time to one day become more comfortable interacting with the caregivers. And even if he doesn’t, we love him just the same!

About Domenico

What life with Domenico looks like

Domenico is a senior european shorthair cat waiting at A.D.A. Noguera in Spain.

Senior cats are the gentlest house guests: predictable, mostly silent, and grateful for a sunny windowsill. Older cats often have minor dental or kidney issues — keep an eye on water intake and weight. Many sleep eighteen hours a day and want no part of any drama.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee. Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Domenico, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Domenico?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. A.D.A. Noguera handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Domenico on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Domenico if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — A.D.A. Noguera will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Domenico already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Domenico isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with A.D.A. Noguera early rather than rehoming privately; they know Domenico and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
