Cap is around 2 years old, a sturdy herding dog-male with a weight of about 50 kg and a shoulder height of around 70–75 cm. Cap was rescued in Romania in 2024 and now lives in Germany, currently in Oberstenfeld. Despite intensive efforts, he has not really settled in, as he does not need a typical household environment but rather an ideal setting such as a farm or a place where he can simply be a dog. Cap brings a pronounced protective instinct and is property-trustful. Initially, he meets new people with skepticism and caution, sometimes even fearfully. However, once he has developed trust, he shows great loyalty, attentiveness, and actively seeks the company of his trusted people. He likes to cuddle and builds a deep bond. He needs people with experience in handling herding dogs, who exude calmness, are clear, steadfast, and reliable. Cap wants to be led and needs clear boundaries to orient himself. An open-plan home or a farm with plenty of space and a clear task would be ideal for him. Cap gets along well with female dogs, as well as with confident, neutered male dogs. Intact male dogs and children should not live in his environment. Farm animals like cats, chickens, or other animals are possible with proper acclimatization. Cap ist ca. 2 Jahre alt, ein stattlicher Herdenschutzhund-Rüde mit etwa 50 kg und einer Schulterhöhe von ca. 70–75 cm. Cap wurde 2024 in Rumänien gerettet und lebt mittlerweile in Deutschland, aktuell in Oberstenfeld. Trotz intensiver Bemühungen ist er bislang nicht wirklich angekommen, da er kein klassisches häusliches Umfeld braucht, sondern idealerweise einen Hof oder Lebensplatz, auf dem er einfach nur Hund sein darf. Cap bringt einen ausgeprägten Schutzinstinkt mit und ist grundstückstreu. Neuem begegnet er zunächst skeptisch und vorsichtig, teils auch ängstlich. Hat er jedoch Vertrauen gefasst, zeigt er sich sehr loyal, aufmerksam und sucht aktiv die Nähe seiner Bezugspersonen. Er kuschelt gerne und baut eine tiefe Bindung auf. Er braucht Menschen mit Erfahrung im Umgang mit Herdenschutzhunden, die Ruhe ausstrahlen, klar, standhaft und verlässlich sind. Cap möchte geführt werden und braucht klare Grenzen, an denen er sich orientieren kann. Ein ebenerdiges Zuhause bzw. ein Hof mit viel Platz und einer klaren Aufgabe wäre für ihn ideal. Mit Hündinnen ist Cap gut verträglich, ebenso mit souveränen, kastrierten Rüden. Intakte Rüden sowie Kinder sollten nicht in seinem Umfeld leben. Hoftiere wie Katzen, Hühner oder andere Tiere sind bei entsprechender Eingewöhnung gut möglich.
