Adopt Carry

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 7 months

♀, born ca. 10/2025 puppy type - friendly - social - Carry is a mixed-breed female dog born around 10/2025 with a current shoulder height of 39 cm. She is expected to be of medium size. Carry was found alone with her siblings in a kennel. As no trace of the mother was found, our animal welfare colleague took her in. Given how small and far too young she was, they would not have survived the cold for much longer. They would have frozen or been eaten. The animal rescuer suspects that the mother was poisoned, as many mother animals fall victim to specially laid out poison. Carry is an absolute ray of sunshine and always has a smile on her face, typical of a puppy, playful and curious. She explores the small run with her siblings, takes a deep breath of fresh air, and is excited for life. Carry is a very social female dog who would like to be placed with a dog that understands puppies, where Carry can orient herself. People should approach dog training with patience and empathy, as she has not yet heard anything about puppy training, house training, being left alone, or walking on a leash. People who support Carry, giving her the love and affection a young female dog needs. Carry will then develop into a wonderful lifelong companion and share all the fun. It would be great if Carry could come to work with you, because who wants to be alone all day... not Carry either. Do you have a dog bed free and want to give Carry a wonderful dog life?! Carry is vaccinated and microchipped and will be rehomed. For the Snap 4-D test and spaying, she is still too young. She is located at the gates of Sofia/Bulgaria. The adoption fee for Carry is 480 Euro. Do you have a suitable home for Carry? Then please contact us via the following contact form. ©2022 by Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. Created with Wix.

About Carry

What life with Carry looks like

Carry is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. in Berlin.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Carry, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Carry?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Carry on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Carry if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Carry already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Carry isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Freund fürs Leben e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Carry and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
