Adopt Cathy

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 4 years

Name: Cathy. Breed: mixed breed. Born: approximately April 16, 2022, about 30 cm tall, weighs 3.5 kgHealth: vaccinated, microchipped (will be neutered)Character: Somewhat suspicious, but sweet and friendly, suitable for a family with children and other animals, does not pull on the leash, keeps her kennel clean Cathy is one of fifteen dogs rescued from a desperate situation together. Her previous owner suffered from Noah Syndrome; a mental disorder characterized by the pathological accumulation of animals in the household. Animals were usually picked up from the streets with good intentions, yet the number of animals grew too quickly to provide adequate care for each one. It was only after the owner's death that neighbors alerted us to the precarious situation. At their former home, the dogs did not go for walks, they were unaware of leashes and initially did not let themselves be touched by humans. They are still in the process of socialization and adapting to a new life, a life where each one receives the individual attention and love they deserve. We hope they will soon find new homes, warm nests where their personalities can flourish. It seems that Cathy, like the others, is not accustomed to pampering and indulgence. But her interest grows every day! Cathy needs a family that understands her past and respects her development, so she can evolve into a happy little dog who radiates all the light she carries within herself. Aside from the neutering and a thorough dental cleaning that still needs to be done, there’s only the task of showing Cathy that the beautiful life has only just begun. Lives peacefully with other dogs, both male dogs and female dogs. Location: our shelter in Sevilla, Spain Have you fallen in love with this sweet girl too? And do you believe you can give her the peace and patience she needs to reveal her true nature? Don’t hesitate to contact us: Daniela, daniela, and Liesbeth, 0032484149408, Email: [not provided]

Name: Cathy. Rasse: Mischling. About Cathy

What life with Cathy looks like

Cathy is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Hundesuche Tiere in Not Bayern in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cathy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cathy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hundesuche Tiere in Not Bayern handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cathy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cathy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hundesuche Tiere in Not Bayern will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cathy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cathy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hundesuche Tiere in Not Bayern early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cathy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
