Mixed-breed Cereza—sweet, playful, and unique. Cereza means “cherry,” and just like her name suggests, this little lady is as sweet as can be. Her very first step in life took her to our partner animal shelter in Spain. Together with her two sisters, she was lovingly raised until recently she was ready to embark on the big journey to Germany and join a caring foster home. There, she’ll not only be gently introduced to the customs every well-behaved dog should know by her foster mom, but also by a small pack of friendly dogs. Cereza has already had plenty of experiences and explores her surroundings with great curiosity—and absolutely no shyness at all. She plays joyfully with the other dogs at the foster home and often can’t seem to stop her endless enthusiasm for discovery. When a long day of exploration comes to an end, she snuggles up next to one of the other dogs in their basket and dreams about the adventures awaiting her tomorrow. Anyone who gives a puppy a home needs lots of time, plenty of patience, and loving consistency—and ideally, a good dose of humor too, because a young pup has tons of funny ideas! So it’s important to think carefully about whether such a little pup really fits into your life and whether you’re prepared to adjust your own life a bit to meet this tiny creature’s needs. We can easily picture Cereza as an only dog, but she’d also be thrilled to have a canine companion. Cats in her new environment should be confident and dog-savvy, since Cereza would surely show them the same playful spirit. Mischling Cereza – süß, witzig und originell Cereza heißt Kirsche und genauso süß ist die kleine Hündin auch. Ihr erster Schritt im Leben führte sie in unser Partnertierheim in Spanien. Zusammen mit ihren beiden Schwestern wurde sie liebevoll aufgezogen, bis sie vor Kurzem bereit war, die große Reise nach Deutschland auf eine liebevolle Pflegestelle anzutreten. Dort wird sie nicht nur von ihrer Pflegemama, sondern auch von einem kleinen Rudel freundlicher Hunde sanft mit den Gepflogenheiten vertraut gemacht, die ein feiner Haushund kennen sollte. Cereza hat schon einiges kennenlernen dürfen und entdeckt ihre Umwelt mit viel Neugier und völlig ohne Scheu. Mit den anderen Hunden auf der Pflegestelle spielt sie voller Freude und kann oft gar kein Ende finden in ihrer Entdeckerfreude. Wenn dann ein langer Forschertag zu Ende geht, kuschelt sie sich zu einem der anderen Hunde ins Körbchen und erträumt sich die Abenteuer des nächsten Tages. Wer einem Welpen ein Zuhause schenkt, braucht ganz viel Zeit, sehr viel Geduld und liebevolle Konsequenz und am besten auch eine große Portion Humor, denn so ein Hundekind hat jede Menge lustige Ideen. Es sollte also gut überlegt sein, ob so ein Welpe wirklich ins eigene Leben passt und ob man bereit ist, für die Bedürfnisse dieses kleinen Wesens sein Leben auch ein Stück weit zu verändern. Wir können uns Cereza gut als Einzelhündin vorstellen, aber sie würde sich auch sehr über einen Hundekumpel freuen. Katzen im neuen Umfeld sollten souverän und hundeerprobt sein, da Cereza sicher auch ihnen gegenüber Spiellaune zeigen würde.
