Cesar

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 15 years

Escaped through trapping. This little being was abandoned for years at a remote site in the plains of 95, in Goussainville. It had approached a random feeding point with some other cats of similar misfortune. Chance put it on our path and fortunately: without veterinary care, it would not have survived long. Today out of danger and in excellent health, it is available for adoption. César has a very calm temperament that appreciates comfort and the gentleness of a home. Not aggressive and extremely considerate, he offers a calming companionship for those seeking a gentle and serene cat. After getting used to his surroundings, he enjoys human company and likes to rub against legs to make himself understood and attract attention for a treat or a caress. Not dominant, he is a peaceful and adorable cat who gets along perfectly with other animals of the same species. If you take the time to stop and meet him, it will be one of the most beautiful encounters of your life 🙂 Neutered/Identified/Vaccinated/Deparasited/Tested negative for FIV and FELV.

About Cesar

What life with Cesar looks like

Cesar is a senior mixed breed cat waiting at La Voie Féline in la voie feline.

Senior cats are the gentlest house guests: predictable, mostly silent, and grateful for a sunny windowsill. Older cats often have minor dental or kidney issues — keep an eye on water intake and weight. Many sleep eighteen hours a day and want no part of any drama.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cesar, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cesar?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. La Voie Féline handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cesar on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cesar if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — La Voie Féline will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cesar already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cesar isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with La Voie Féline early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cesar and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
