Date of birth: March 19, 2020 Description: Cezar is a 5-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier who came to the animal shelter after being taken away due to inappropriate living conditions. His youth was not easy, as he hardly knew life outside four walls. Not knowing the outside environment makes him scared and he shows fear and reactivity towards people, animals, and objects. He has now become accustomed to certain people and objects he meets on walks, and is more relaxed. Still, caution and calmness are needed when approaching him. We are looking for a home in a calmer environment, preferably in a house with a fenced yard. He is not suitable for living with children or other animals, so he is being given as the only pet. His future caretaker must have experience with breeds such as the Staffordshire Terrier and above all, a lot of patience and time for gradually building trust. Cezar is allergic, so he needs a bit more attention regarding diet and care. Before moving to his new home, several visits to the animal shelter will be necessary for Cezar to get used to the new person.

Njegova mladost ni bila lahka, saj praktično ni poznal življenja zunaj štirih sten. Nepoznavanje zunanjega okolja ga plaši in to pokaže s strahom in reaktivnostjo do ljudi, živali in predmetov. Sedaj se je navadil določenih ljudi in predmetov, ki jih srečuje na sprehodu, in je bolj sproščen. Vseeno je ob pristopu do njega potrebna previdnost in mirnost. Zanj iščemo dom v mirnejšem okolju, najbolje v hiši z ograjenim vrtom. Ni primeren za življenje z otroki ali drugimi živalmi, zato se oddaja kot edini ljubljenček. Njegov bodoči skrbnik mora imeti izkušnje s pasmami, kot je staffordski terier in predvsem veliko potrpljenja ter časa za postopno grajenje zaupanja. Cezar je alergik, zato potrebuje nekoliko več pozornosti glede prehrane in nege. Pred odhodom v nov dom bo potrebnih več obiskov v zavetišču, da se bo Cezar lahko navadil novega človeka.
