How do I contact the shelter about Chanel?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Heroes for Cyprus Cats / Zypernkatzen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Chanel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt Chanel if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Heroes for Cyprus Cats / Zypernkatzen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.

Is Chanel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.

What happens if Chanel isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Heroes for Cyprus Cats / Zypernkatzen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Chanel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

Chanel (female, spayed) 🎂 Birthday: approximately 2023 📌 Location: Cyprus, in a shelter 🏡 Housing: no unsecured outdoor access, single housing possible 🤕 Disability: old leg injury Hello, I'm Chanel! Let's be honest: which female human being hasn't dreamed of owning a designer piece? Well, with me, this dream could come true. I've had quite a bit of experience (leg injury, bullets in my body). I even recently had two cute babies. They're now weaned, and I'm looking for a home where I can enrich their lives with my presence. I don't mind other cats, but I prefer to enjoy my peace, as is fitting for a designer piece. I let myself be stroked, but I don't want to be lifted up (yet). If you want to be my stroker, write to Heroes for Cyprus Cats! I'll travel to you chipped, vaccinated, tested for FiV/FelV, and with an EU pet passport. ----------------------------------------------------------- Who are the heroes behind Heroes for Cyprus Cats? We at Heroes for Cyprus Cats are a dedicated team of animal lovers from Cyprus, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, committed to improving the lives of street cats in Cyprus. Our goal is to make a lasting difference in their lives. Our local team in Cyprus feeds, neuters, and cares for sick or injured cats on the streets and in colonies. When necessary, we bring them to foster families where they wait for their families in a safe environment. We also maintain a strong online presence, handle adoption inquiries, and provide support at the airport. Street cats in Cyprus suffer greatly and are often victims of car accidents or cruel mistreatment. Many simply starve or die from untreated illnesses. We rescue them from this sad fate and work tirelessly to find a loving, safe home for our rescued cats. We value a collegial, transparent, and respectful relationship within our team and with potential adopters. For us, adopting a cat is just the beginning. We commit to supporting our rescued cats and their new families for the rest of their lives. Together, we make a difference for every single cat.

About Chanel

What life with Chanel looks like

Chanel is a large young adult cat waiting at Heroes for Cyprus Cats / Zypernkatzen in Kirchheim bei München.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.
