Chaplin

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 4 years

A Noé Animal Shelter Foundation took in a limping puppy, beautiful, very sweet and really tiny. She will soon undergo her first orthopedic examination, but we have already started her special feeding and deworming today. We have experience with similar "wobbly-legged" puppies, and together with our veterinarians, we have successfully rehabilitated many wonderful ones in recent years. That's why we immediately took her in when we saw the first pictures of her from the Szikszó Animal Welfare group. We are very grateful to everyone who helped save this little one and provided temporary shelter. She was given the name Chaplin here. A mixed breed puppy born around September 2021. Unfortunately, she spent her first year with us, and we strongly hope that soon she will be with her new family. Chaplin loves people, other dogs, playing and learning. We are looking for a loving, responsible owner who is aware of the challenges and losses involved in raising a young dog. Someone who will love and provide a secure home for her even when she gets old. We only give her to a full family member. Vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, she is looking for her future owner.

About Chaplin

What life with Chaplin looks like

Chaplin is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Orthopedic condition - curved/crooked legs requiring specialized care and veterinary attention

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Chaplin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Chaplin?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Chaplin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Chaplin if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Chaplin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Chaplin isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Chaplin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
