Charlie and Nick

Male Β· Young Β· 2 years

Meet Charlie & Nick πŸ€ Charlie and Nick are a bonded pair of male rats looking for a loving retirement home together. These two boys are estimated to be around 2 years old and, while they are both nervous and currently not handleable, they still deserve a quiet, experienced home where they can enjoy their retirement years together. πŸ’™ Charlie Charlie has a history of upper respiratory infections (URI). He also has slightly deformed feet, which…

About Charlie and Nick

What life with Charlie and Nick looks like

Charlie and Nick is a young adult animal waiting at Cotswolds Dogs and Cats Home in United Kingdom.

Every animal has their own temperament and history. The shelter knows Charlie and Nick far better than any listing can convey β€” ask about daily routine, ideal household, and what kind of adopter they're hoping for.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Charlie and Nick, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Charlie and Nick?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Cotswolds Dogs and Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Charlie and Nick on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Charlie and Nick if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Cotswolds Dogs and Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Charlie and Nick already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most animals on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Charlie and Nick isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Cotswolds Dogs and Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Charlie and Nick and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
