Charly

Australian Shepherd ยท Male ยท Puppy ยท 3 months

Hello everyone! ๐Ÿพ Let me introduce myself: my name is Charly, I was born in July 2026 and will weigh around 25 kg when fully grown. At the moment, I live with my siblings in a wooden shed, where I was also born. Like every puppy, I am very playful, affectionate, and full of curiosity. I love company and enjoy discovering the world around me. I am looking for a loving family who will welcome me with patience and affection and finally give me the security and love I deserve. I am currently in Italy, for the right adoption, I can travel throughout Europe and the United Kingdom. If youโ€™d like to give me a chance, Iโ€™m here waiting for you. ๐Ÿถ ๐Ÿ“ Foster/adoption form: ๐Ÿ“ž ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น Chiara (WhatsApp) โ€“ ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Chiara (WhatsApp only) โ€“ ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช Sabrina (WhatsApp)

About Charly

What life with Charly looks like

Charly is a medium-sized puppy/kitten australian shepherd dog waiting at Furry Rescue Italy in Nazionale.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window โ€” house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡นAdopting from Italy

Italian canili require adopters to sign a stewardship contract (affido) and may retain the right to verify the animal's wellbeing post-adoption. Animals are chipped and sterilized before leaving (Legge 281/91). Public canili rifugio typically waive adoption fees.

Frequently asked

Adopting Charly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Charly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Furry Rescue Italy handles screening and the adoption contract directly โ€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Charly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Charly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad โ€” Furry Rescue Italy will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra โ‚ฌ100โ€“โ‚ฌ350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Charly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported โ€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Charly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work โ€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Furry Rescue Italy early rather than rehoming privately; they know Charly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect โ€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
