Adopt CHARLY
Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 14 years
Mixed-breed Jagdhund CHARLY was born on January 15, 2012, and is neutered. He currently weighs around 40 kg and stands just under 70 cm at the shoulder. The sturdy fellow came back to us last on April 9, 2020, after attempts at rehoming due to "misunderstandings" during the get-to-know-you phase. Since April 2021, CHARLY has been living on our Gnadenhof in Kirchasch. We are looking for a dog sitter who is physically capable of handling CHARLY and can consistently lead him. An enclosed garden with an earth-level house would be ideal. If you would like to make contact with our CHARLY, please call directly at our Gnadenhof. In general, CHARLY is an extremely lovable, extremely mellow, and clingy four-legged friend. For him, a quiet home with only one primary caregiver—without other pets and without young children—would be ideal. CHARLY quickly bonds with his favorite people, although he is not necessarily choosy. Essentially, everyone is always nice to CHARLY. Problems arise more often in the home when he becomes overly attached to one person and you don't immediately put him in his place. Of course, with a nearly 50 kg dog, it's a small feat to show him who's in charge. Once the front is cleared, however, CHARLY is a great buddy, good-natured, and loyal. On walks, he ignores fellow animals but also wants to be left alone by them. For his size and age, he is fit and loves long and varied walks. Typical of a Jagdhund, his nose is always on the ground, and he is reluctant to be distracted by an especially interesting trail. The male dog also has a stubborn streak! As he has a cheerful disposition, always shows good spirits, and has an incredibly honest character, it would be a shame to still have CHARLY at the animal shelter. Visits to our Gnadenhof and the animal placement service take place after a telephone appointment. Please contact our team by phone to arrange a visit.
