Chayenne

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Chayenne is a two-year-old dog with a fluffy gray and cream coat, a happy smile, and warm amber eyes that bring smiles to everyone she meets. She currently lives in Bistrița with our animal welfare advocate Diana and eagerly awaits her own family there. Chayenne is incredibly affectionate, cuddly, and attached to people. She enjoys every caress and actively seeks the company of those close to her. For someone looking for a dog that loves to snuggle up and shower them with love, Chayenne will be a loyal companion. With her open and cheerful nature, she conquers hearts at lightning speed. Chayenne currently lives harmoniously with other dogs. At the same time, she has a confident personality and often takes charge of other dogs. Therefore, her new family should provide clear structures and accompany dog interactions well. Depending on their preferences, a confident first-time dog owner might be a good fit, but she could also feel comfortable as a single princess. Cat experiences have not been tested so far. Since we do not know what Chayenne has experienced in her life so far, it should be assumed that house training, leash walking, staying alone, and many everyday routines still need to be learned or reinforced. Moving means stress and many new impressions. However, with patience, loving consistency, and understanding support, she will gradually find her way in her new life. Attending a positive dog school can provide helpful support and help them grow together as a team. We are looking for people who love Chayenne's affectionate nature and confident character and want to finally give her the home she deserves. Chayenne travels to her new home spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, spayed, dewormed, and flea-free with her EU pet passport. After a positive pre-check, she can be adopted for a deposit fee. Who falls in love with this cheerful little wuschelmaus and finally gives her the home she so desperately deserves? Many thanks to godmother Anke, who gave Chayenne her name and thus enabled her chance at a new life. Status: 03/07/2026 Further information on pre-check and deposit fee

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! About Chayenne

What life with Chayenne looks like

Chayenne is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Chayenne, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Chayenne?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Chayenne on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Chayenne if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Chayenne already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Chayenne isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Chayenne and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
