Cheeky

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

Cheeky is an incredibly cute girl who arrived at the shelter in early August 2021. When she arrived, she was a tiny puppy with big, floppy ears that made her look especially adorable. Now her ears stand up, and she has grown into a beautiful young dog. And guess what? She still wears those sweet white socks on her paws and tail that everyone loves! The best part is that she has changed a lot since arriving at the shelter. She used to be a bit shy, but now she is more confident and happy. She really loves meeting the volunteers and her furry friends. Whenever you hug her or show her some love, you'll see a small smile on her face, and her tail will wag happily. She is just so sweet and lovable! She is always ready for cuddles and enjoys going for walks and playing with her kennel friends. Although she is used to life at the shelter, she has not had a chance to experience life outside. It would be great if that could change. Cheeky is a sweet puppy with a lot of potential to be a fantastic friend. We are looking for a forever family who can give her a lot of love and all the treats she wants. The Korean animal welfare workers prepare the dogs well for a home. They are house-trained, social, and friendly. The dogs go to foster homes in Korea so they can feel safe and secure in a home quickly. If you are interested in Cheeky, please download the relevant self-disclosure form and send it back to us completed. Thank you! Cheeky is looking forward to your inquiry! ♥ More information: the dogs come to Germany with flight sponsors via Traces and the required health documents. They are vaccinated, chipped, and dewormed. The animal welfare concerns and legal requirements are strictly adhered to. Important information: the exact date of birth will be communicated shortly before the flight, we only know the year of birth.

About Cheeky

What life with Cheeky looks like

Cheeky is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at German Hands meet Korean Paws e.V. in Ebstorf.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cheeky, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cheeky?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. German Hands meet Korean Paws e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cheeky on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cheeky if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — German Hands meet Korean Paws e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cheeky already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cheeky isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with German Hands meet Korean Paws e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cheeky and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
