Adopt Cheope

Labrador Retriever · Female · Puppy

Good, sweet, friendly people, children, dogs, cats Hello everyone! My name is Cheope, I am a simi labrador born around the first of March 2026 and when I grow up, I will be a medium-sized dog, around 18-20 kg. I was found abandoned on the street with my sister and saved by a volunteer. I am a sweet and good puppy, I love being in company and I am very sociable. I get along with everyone: dogs, cats, and people. As every puppy, I have a lot of desire to discover the world, play, and receive cuddles. I am looking for a family that wants to raise me with love and patience, accompanying me in the life I deserve. I am in Calabria, but for a good adoption, I can reach the center and north of Italy, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Buona, dolce, simpatica persone, bambini, cani, gatti Ciao a tutti!

About Cheope

What life with Cheope looks like

Cheope is a medium-sized puppy/kitten labrador retriever dog waiting at I Pelosetti di Silvana in Italy.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇮🇹Adopting from Italy

Italian canili require adopters to sign a stewardship contract (affido) and may retain the right to verify the animal's wellbeing post-adoption. Animals are chipped and sterilized before leaving (Legge 281/91). Public canili rifugio typically waive adoption fees.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cheope, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cheope?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. I Pelosetti di Silvana handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cheope on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cheope if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — I Pelosetti di Silvana will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cheope already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cheope isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with I Pelosetti di Silvana early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cheope and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (IT). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
