Niet voor niets noemen ze mij wel eens een echte gentle giant: groot van formaat, maar zachtaardig van karakter. Bij een eerste kennismaking ben ik meestal wat voorzichtig en kijk ik liever even de kat uit de boom. Maar geef je me wat tijd, een lekkere traktatie en misschien een fijne kambeurt, dan zal je merken dat mijn vertrouwen stapje voor stapje groeit. Eens ik me veilig voel, laat ik mijn lieve en aanhankelijke kant zien. Dan geniet ik volop van aandacht, knuffels en gezellige momenten samen. Ik ben geen schootkat en zal waarschijnlijk niet meteen op je schoot kruipen, maar ik vind het wel heerlijk om in je buurt te zijn en aandacht te krijgen van de mensen die ik vertrouw. Ik ben een kat die graag op zijn eigen tempo openbloeit, maar geloof me: het is meer dan de moeite waard om mij die kans te geven.
